Namings

"You are unique my child, A wonderful addition to life, For there is no-one else like you. "

The arrival of a new member of the family is a signficant event.

Ceremonies to mark the occasion and to name the child can be individually compiled to reflect the wishes of the parent in making a statement of welcome before family and friends.

It is possible to include various rituals such as lighting of candles, a sprinkling of magic dust, and the child can be named with a sprinkling of rose petals or drops of water. I have a range of reference material on appropriate poems or readings, if required. We can also include references to family and friends in writing the ceremony.

Godparents, guardians or mentors may be appointed as part of the ceremony, and each will receive a certificate of appointment.

Naming ceremony for Aston Carrington Culf

Some words to think about
If I raised my child again.
If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd teach less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.
